Annual Events
A series of regular events are organised by the Committee on behalf
of Old Greys living in the UK/Europe and are chosen based upon
feedback received from members.
- Annual Dinner: The most important annual event
is our Old Grey Europe Dinner which is always held on the
third Thursday of November and which often precedes the
rugby match between England and the Springboks at Twickenham.
The
Committee tries to host special guests at the dinner. These
have varied, but often include The Rector and the Headmaster
of Grey Junior School, who bring us up to date news on the
recent achievements and current issues facing both schools.
2010 AGM and Annual Dinner
This year's
AGM and dinner will be held
in the El Alamein Room at the Victory Services Club (VSC)
- http://www.vsc.co.uk on
25 November 2010.
This is a very good venue just north of Marble Arch and easily
accessible by bus and tube. We have room for a maximum of
80 diners (8 tables of 10 diners).
The Rector has indicated
that he will attend this year, so book early if you wish
to attend. As usual please book by downloading and completing
the form below, including your
final year at Grey so that we can seat you at a table with
your contemporaries, and return it by post or email to Peter
Phelan (addresses on form) either with a cheque or bank transfer
for the number being booked. Cheques will be presented to
the bank on 12 November and cancellations will be accepted
and refunded up to that date.

- Other Events: In previous years we have held numerous
summer activities including cricket matches, golf days,
braais etc.
- Social Evenings: This year (2010)
we have decided to re-introduce the popular programme of
social evenings held at a suitable pub in London (please
see the Home page for details). Historically
these have proved to be highly successful occasions - please
come along and have a good time catching up on School news
and meeting your old classmates.
